4 Power System Operation: Economic operation, Unit Commitment, Frequency Control, Automatic Generation Control (AGC), Short term demand forecasting. 11
5 Energy Management System (EMS): Introduction to EMS, Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), Wide Area monitoring system (WAMS), Phasor measurement units (PMU), Next generation EMS. 4
