Overview

Lab at a glance

This laboratory houses equipment to teach students key practical concepts in modern electric power systems. Facilities include an alternator fault simulator, setups for overcurrent and earth-fault relay operationparallel operation of alternators with differential protection, and a photovoltaic simulator for grid integration studies. Instruments for earth and insulation resistance measurement are also available. Software licenses for MiPower, PSCAD, and DSA Tools support grid simulations including faults, stability, and load-flow studies.
